Some users are not receiving the registration email?

Question
When people register on my website, some of them never receive the registration email, while others get the email fine, why is this?
Answer
Check to see if you can receive emails from your website, using your ISP email account (e.g. your internet provider email address).

If you can receive it on other accounts, then its likely that your hosting company has been blacklisted by Hotmail and/or Gmail and possible other providers, as sometimes shared hosting and dedicated servers (with the same IP address) can be blocked/blacklisted when people abuse your hosting companies servers by sending out spam.

I know that some of my websites are blocked by Hotmail, but works fine on other providers.

You could try testing this script on your server: http://www.sebflipper.com/code/?file=perl_smtp_email.php and enter a valid SMTP server and username/password and see if that works with Hotmail and Gmail, if it does then you could edit new_forum.php to use the SMTP code (instead of PHP mail) to send emails.
